Your Committee

Kelly - Chairperson
I have been involved now in canoe polo since 1997 when I started playing. I started playing as a year 7 student.
The most rewarding thing about being a part of this fantastic sport is the people. The kids are happy, the parents are supportive and the team I get to work with to make this sport what it is in Hawkes Bay is amazing!

Jed - Deputy Chairperson
Hi, I'm Jed and I've been playing Canoe Polo for most of my life. I love the sport and passion of the people I've met through it.  I'm involved in some way at almost all levels of the sport so if you feel like a chat about it feel free to come to see me poolside.

Grainne - Year 8 Development Co-ordinator

Grainne was initially introduced to the canoe polo community through her children’s ongoing enthusiasm for the sport. Their love for the game developed rapidly and they naturally evolved into a family of avid players and supporters. It is by far the favoured pastime in their household with 3 out of her 4 children still playing regularly.

"I have little ability on the water so I stick to what I do best - parental & player support". Grainne and the entire committee alike enjoy a very “hands on“ approach to helping.  "I’m grateful to be surrounded and supported in my role by passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated members of CPHB".

Trelean - High Performance Officer

Anna - Media Officer

My names Anna, I have 2 kids Grace and Harry. It all started 5 years ago when Grace bought home a notice from school saying she wanted to play canoe polo. After googling the sport, I thought well this could be cool. As family we are hooked. Fast forward 5 years and both the kids play and love it!

I joined the committee to help, be more involved and learn more about this amazing sport. My interest would be netball, wine and definitely canoe polo now!

Tony - Autumn League Co-ordinator

Tony was introduced to canoe polo when his daughter Arabella started playing in Year 6 and he became the team manager. He quickly grew to love the sport and continued to manage school teams. You will often find him on the side line with his camera taking photos for the Rubber Duckie Facebook page and more recently you may have seen him floundering around on the water as he discovers the sport isn’t as easy as he thought! Tony looks after our primary and intermediate age leagues.
